A defender of the Republic, 20-year-old Corporal Nikita Fokin was killed by Ukrainian snipers in the shelling of the People’s Militia positions near Dolomitnoye on Wednesday, January 22. His class teacher, Deputy Principal of the Gorlovka school № 40 Oksana Frolkina told about the school years of the hero.
“In 2014, as a 9-A class teacher, in June I graduated 21 students, among whom was Nikita Fokin. I am now holding a graduation album, and in these photos we can see that Nikita was a cheerful and enthusiastic fellow. We also remember well his acutely attuned sense of justice and truth. His upbringing and love for the history of his native land led this young fellow to the ranks of the defenders of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Nikita’s death is a great loss for his mother and for all of us,” the teacher said.
As previously reported, the shelling was carried out from the positions of the 59th AFU brigade, to which there had arrived a group of snipers from the special operations forces, armed with 12.7 mm Barrett M82 rifles.
Also yesterday, Gorlovka Mayor Ivan Prikhodko announced holding a farewell ceremony for residents of the Republic in one of the city’s cathedrals and expressed condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
“President of Ukraine Zelensky and his team, despite their loud hypocritical statements about peace, have once again demonstrated their true fascist face and continue to methodically destroy the residents of Donbass.
But I want to assure you, “dear sirs,” you will not succeed, because nothing will force us to return to the country of fascists and murderers. Zelensky, it was you to kill Nikita! It was you who deprived the mother of her son! His blood is on your hands,” Prikhodko said.
It should be noted that all these developments are taking place amid Zelensky’s “international tour”, during which he passionately speaks about his peacekeeping mission and the desire to terminate hostilities in Donbass.
