2020 marks 75 years since the Great Victory of the Soviet people over Nazism. Many countries will host large-scale festive events on this occasion. In an interview with a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, Tatyana Montyan, a Ukrainian lawyer, publicist and activist, spoke about how this holiday will be held in Ukraine, where the Nazis are glorified, and what this country looks like now.
“I believe that the cooperative West has miscalculated. They started glorifying Nazism too early, because the people who remember the truth about the Great Patriotic War are still alive. Against this backdrop, Russia is maximally promoting the Heroes of the Victory by arranging the Immortal Regiment, because we have to fight Nazism as hard as we can.
People in Kiev will go to the celebrations too, they will march with photos of their heroic ancestors. The 75th anniversary of the Victory is of great importance for the descendants of the Heroes. And the absolute majority do not care about the Nazi propaganda. People show no interest in it at all,” Tatyana Montyan commented.
