We once again hear from the Ukrainian leadership the theses that raise serious questions about the way they perceive the reality, DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalya Nikonorova stated.
“Thus, high ranking officials claim that they allegedly implement all the agreements reached at the summit of the guarantor countries for the Minsk Agreements. At the same time, for more than three months we have not been able to get Ukraine to negotiate with us and implement in practice any of the listed items of the communique following the meeting in the Normandy format, neither new areas of disengagement, nor the exchange of detainees, nor legal aspects of the special status of Donbass.
Moreover, the Ukrainian side cannot fulfil even those agreements that were personally signed by the Ukrainian representatives on March 11 in Minsk. I would like to note that absolutely all the necessary steps have been taken for our part, in confirmation of which we have published the drafts of our proposals that were reviewed and according to the protocol signed at the last meeting in Minsk should have been approved by the parties to the conflict. It is also noteworthy that the decisions of March 11 have already set forth an agreement on forming an advisory board, respectively, this is a resolved issue, so there is no need for “its further consideration”, it must be implemented constructively in consultation with representatives of the Normandy Four.
Moreover, to justify their inaction, the Ukrainian authorities prefer to use their favorite excuse that the republics are allegedly not a party to the conflict, therefore Kiev would not negotiate with us. With that said, an interesting observation: the Ukrainian leadership confirms that the Minsk Agreements are signed by representatives of Donbass. Besides, some documents have the signatures of representatives of the republics and the same Kiev authorities on the same sheet. That is, even in their own statements, the Ukrainian leaders demonstrate incompetence and score own goals.
We urge the representatives of Ukraine to stop spreading on the media meaningless misinformation detached from reality, thus discrediting themselves even more. Instead, they should immediately begin to fulfill their obligations under the documents of the Minsk package,” Natalya Nikonorova said.
