The DPR People’s Militia reported another case of terror against the civilian population of Donbass. Ukrainian militants continue to target exclusively residential areas in populated localities of the Republic, realizing that most residents are staying home for the purpose of self-isolation to prevent the coronavirus from spreading, the DPR PMD’s press service reports.
“Today, Ukrainian militants from the 28th brigade, on the orders of war criminal Marchenko, launched a mortar attack on Staromikhaylovka. The shelling resulted in damage to the roof and windows of a separate house at 46 Shevchenko Street.
Information on civilian casualties and damage to the civil infrastructure as a result of enemy shelling is being specified.
All the violations of humanitarian law were promptly transferred to the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office for inclusion in a criminal case against war criminal Marchenko.
We urge international monitors to document this war crime committed by the armed formations of Ukraine, make them conduct an investigation and punish those responsible for it,” the statement reads.
