The RP-5135 —TP-5022 6kV power line was broken by shell fragments during the attack launched by Ukrainian militants today, on April 15 at 7:05. Six electrical substations are down, 600 residential users remain without electricity.
According to the Ministry of Coal and Energy’s press service, emergency repair crews of two power distribution zones(Petrovsky Western and Petrovsky Eastern Distribution Zones of the Regional Energy Supplying Company Republic Enterprise) started to fix the damage promptly. At 9:38 after the repair, the line was put into operation, but electricity did not get back to all the consumers.
According to chief of the Petrovsky Western Distribution Zone Pavel Protsenko, 500 residential users have already got power back, but 80 separate houses and 13 barrack-type buildings have not yet been energized. The cause is that Kiev militants completely destroyed the electrical substation 5023 with a direct hit. At the moment, people residing at Urozhaynaya, Chekhova, Finalnaya, Dobroslavina and Petrovskogo Streets remain without electricity.
“Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to replace the destroyed transformer with a new one, it is a little more than 100 meters to the delimitation line from it, so special equipment will not be able to drive up, but will immediately come under fire of the armed formations of Ukraine,” Protsenko informed.
In order to return power supply to the remaining 100 residential users, electricians are building a temporary power supply network to the streets that suffer outages. If the situation allows, the work will be completed as soon as possible.
