Epidemiological situation and COVID-19 expansion worldwide as of April 16

As of April 16, 8:00 AM MSK, the number of people infected has totaled 2,082,583 worldwide (daily increase: 85,529 cases, 4.3%). 1,998,786 cases have been registered in 181 countries of the world without China (daily increase: 85,477 cases, 4.5%), Russia’s Rospotrebnadzor informs.

According to the daily report of the National Health Commission of China as of April 16, 8:00 AM, 83,797 cases of the infection have been registered in China. Daily increase: 52 cases, 0.06%.

As previously reported, 26 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
