Today, on April 15, representatives of the People’s Patrol jointly with the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, member of the DPR Public Chamber and public figure Alexey Denisenko handed over foodstuffs to the staff of the Starobeshevo TPP, the organization’s press service reports.
It has been decided that starting April 13, entry and exit from the urban-type village of Novyi Svet, where the Starobeshevo TPP is located, must be limited temporarily. This is a least-evil temporary solution to protect the health of employees of the thermal power plant, as well as to secure the strategically important facility of the Republic.
“I sincerely believe that those who continue to work during the coronavirus pandemic are real heroes of today. It should be in the interests of every DPR citizen to support the workers of this plant. Such a forced but certainly weighed decision to limit entry and exit has been taken by the leadership of the Republic not to spread panic but for the sake of labor protection and optimal working conditions. Today’s delivery of foodstuffs first of all proves sincere respect for the hard work and unwavering spirit of workers of the thermal power plant,” chief of the People’s Patrol Roman Troshin noted.
To ensure comfortable conditions for the duration of the safety measures, 25 kg of various pickled products, 150 kg of cereals, 75 kg of cookies, as well as more than 400 kg of vegetables, including carrots, cabbage, beetroot, onions and potatoes were handed over to the employees of the thermal power plant.
According to the member of the DPR Public Chamber, the maximum preventive measures are now aimed not only at protecting the staff of the plant, but also avoiding problems in the work of the most powerful power plant in general.
“People work here so we have electricity. In our turn, we can only express our gratitude and appreciation with such a gesture,” Alexey Denisenko said.
