Today, on April 17, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin took part in the regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Operational HQ for Prevention of Importation and Spread of the Coronavirus Infection. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, DPR Minister of Health Olga Dolgoshapko reported on the situation during the event.
“The epidemiological situation is assessed by the Ministry of Health as satisfactory in general, it is under control. We are preparing to discharge from hospitals three more people who have recovered from coronavirus. Thirty persons remain under observation in hospitals and are being treated. Of these, only one patient has complications, she initially had a chronic lung disease. The rest are in satisfactory condition.
A total of 251 people are currently under observation in hospitals, there are medical workers among them. Two departments in medical institutions where infected those medical personnel worked are now isolated,” Olga Dolgoshapko told.
In view of the above, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin charged the DPR Health Minister with a series of tasks:
“By April 24, 2020, report on the progress in drawing up instructional guidelines, guidance notes, as well as on the progress in training of medical workers in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19;
— by April 24, 2020, report on the readiness of medical personnel providing outpatient care and emergency medical aid for handling patients with respiratory symptoms, as well as for sampling biological material from patients to test them for COVID-19 infection;
— by April 24, 2020, report on the readiness of the systems for referral of patients to medical institutions specialized in physical illnesses that have been converted to infectious disease facilities, as well as to existing infectious disease facilities for patients and persons with suspected coronavirus infection (COVID-19);
— ensure regular monitoring of medical personnel’s compliance with the rules (guidelines) regulating the treatment of patients and persons with suspected coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Tighten control over compliance with the above rules (guidelines). Report on the results weekly;
— ensure regular monitoring of medical personnel’s compliance with the conditions of maximum isolation of patients in COVID-19 treatment units located in facilities specialized in physical illnesses. Report on the results weekly;
— by April 24, 2020, report on the measures taken to rule out the possibility of transferring persons with suspected COVID-19 without laboratory-confirmed negative tests to units not specialized in infectious illnesses;
— inform medical directors and medical personnel of enhanced administrative and criminal liability for breaching sanitary and epidemiological rules,” the Head of the Republic said.
