On the sixth anniversary of the Odessa tragedy of May 2, 2014, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin laid flowers at the memorial to the victims of the tragedy, the press service of the DPR Head’s Administration reports.

Six years ago, Ukrainian nationalists and radicals from the Right Sector extremist group and the so-called Maidan Self-Defense, which are banned in Russia and the DPR, burned down the tent camp of supporters of the Anti-Maidan movement at the Kulikovo Field in Odessa. The Anti-Maidan members took shelter in the House of Trade Unions, the Ukrainian radicals surrounded them and set the building on fire. Many people did not get out, the Ukrainian nationalists just mopped up those who did. It has been six years, but the perpetrators have not been punished, their names never been disclosed.

The official death toll of the tragedy in the Odessa House of Trade Unions is 48, over 300 people were injured and suffered burns.
