More than a thousand cars with portraits of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Victory Banners, flags of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Russia drove around the central streets of the capital of the Republic on May 9. Thus, the participants in the Great Victory Rally, which was organized by the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, celebrated the day and honored the memory of their grandfathers and great grandfathers, a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reports.
Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin took part in the rally.
“I took part in the rally of the Great Victory with great pleasure. It was held at the initiative of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement. I think everyone experienced the feeling of unity and enthusiasm, both the participants in the festive convoy and those who cheered it on its way.
It is very important to us to honor our heroic ancestors, to pay tribute even amid the limitation regime, the regime of inability to fully conduct an Immortal Regiment. It is a sacred holiday, no one and nothing can stop the tradition of celebrating Victory Day,” he said.
At the end of the rally cars lined up in the form of anniversary number 75 on the square in front of the monument To Your Liberators, Donbass!
