Denis Pushilin had a phone conversation with the President of South Ossetia

On Wednesday of May 20, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov. The main topic of their talk concerned the transfer of anti-coronavirus humanitarian aid to South Ossetia, the press service of the Head’s Administration reports.

At the beginning of the conversation Denis Pushilin offered his condolences to the residents and President of the Republic of South Ossetia on the anniversary of the Zar tragedy.

“The murder of innocent people that was committed on May 20, 1992 in the village of Zar is a terrible tragedy. On behalf of the residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I express my profound condolences to the families and friends of the victims and to the entire Ossetian people,” the Head of the DPR said.

During the conversation Denis Pushilin and Anatoly Bibilov discussed the situation with the coronavirus proliferation, as well as the transfer of humanitarian cargo to South Ossetia for anti-COVID-19 activities.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia thanked the DPR Head for the assistance and support, as well as for his condolences on the tragedy of Zar. Anatoly Bibilov emphasized that both Donetsk and Tskhinvali had faced terrorism and armed aggression, and expressed the hope that there would be no more tragic pages in the history of the two Republics.

“Assistance from the DPR in the fight against the coronavirus is very important and well-timed for the population of South Ossetia. The brotherly peoples should always stand together in difficult moments,” Anatoly Bibilov stressed.

Note that the humanitarian cargo that the Donetsk People’s Republic intends to transfer to a South Ossetian representative this week includes personal protective gear, half-face respirators, disinfectants, and medications. All the products are DPR-made.
