On May 25 at 19:15, a 6kV power line was damaged as the AFU launched fire on the village, 7 electrical substations, which supplied 750 residential users, were down.
Emergency repair crews fixed 4 substations just in an hour and a half, 550 users got power back. Unfortunately, the firing resumed, which did not allow the electricians to continue the repair work, the Coal and Energy Ministry’s press service reports.
They are planning to fix two more substations today.
The last of the de-energized substations will be connected to the power supply only when a new support is put up at the 6kV line in place of the one the AFU destroyed, but the area of the repair work is in line-of-sight of Kiev forces. Electricians and their special equipment will be able to work there only after the Ukrainian side agrees to ceasefire, and guarantees their security and safety. A corresponding inquiry has already been sent to the JCCC and OSCE.
