Anti-COVID-19 measures have been eased in the DPR

The DPR Head’s order makes a number of changes to the high alert mode, the Inter-Agency Operational Headquarters for the Prevention of COVID-19 Importation and Proliferation reported today.

“The restriction on the stay of children under 14 years of age in public spaces has been lifted, sports competitions in the open air (without spectators), as well as educational and training activities are allowed.

However, due to the complicated epidemiological situation, it has been decided that a number of anti-coronavirus measures shall be extended until a special order is issued,” the statement reads.

They specified that all mass events are forbidden in the Republic, people must wear masks inside buildings, premises where commercial facilities are located, as well as in public transport. Restrictions on crossing the borders of the Donetsk People’s Republic also remain in force.

“Persons arriving in the Donetsk People’s Republic and persons living together with them must undergo a self-isolation period that lasts 14 days from the date of arrival. In addition, persons living with patients with coronavirus or those who contacted them, as well as persons with suspected coronavirus must undergo self-isolation,” the headquarters emphasized.

At the same time it is allowed to engage in physical training and sports in the open air (including individual and group training sessions, sports competitions without spectators (including team sports), as well as leisure activities in urban parks, amusement rides outside buildings and premises. It is permitted to visit sports clubs, fitness centers, swimming pools and other facilities that provide such services, as well as to conduct training sessions.

“However, we shall remind that the above-mentioned sports clubs, fitness centers, swimming pools, as well as restaurants, cafes, canteens, buffets, bars, snack bars and other catering facilities are open until 18:00, with the exception of outdoor summer grounds and outdoor sports facilities, they are allowed to work until 22:00,” the operational headquarters summed up.
