The first rehearsal of the military parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 took place on Artyoma Street in the center of Donetsk. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, ceremonial crews of the DPR People’s Militia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, cadets of Donetsk Higher All-Troops Command College were practicing the ceremonial march to the music of wind-band.
Among the participants of the forthcoming parade there were members of the Young Guard-Yunarmiya Military Patriotic Movement and activists of the People’s Patrol. Some military were holding weapons of the Great Patriotic War, probably at the parade itself they will be wearing the uniform of that formidable time. Among the participants of the first rehearsal there were female parade crews too. Military equipment was not used today.
We shall remind that Donetsk was supposed to host the military parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 on May 9 this year, but it was postponed to a later date due to the threat of the coronavirus proliferation around the world. By Order of Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, the Victory Parade will be held on the morning of June 24.
