DPR Commissioner for Human Rights Darya Morozova called on the Ukrainian side regarding the detention of a DPR citizen by the SBU, the Ombudsperson’s press service reports.

“I have been contacted by the mother of Sergey S. Lyubetsky. In her appeal, she told me that the SBU has detained her son and asked for assistance in obtaining information about reasons for the detention and the circumstances. I learned of this earlier from reports of differed Ukrainian media. Also, according to the mother, they use tortures against the detainee.

For my part, I have sent a corresponding request to the Ukrainian side through coordinator of the humanitarian subgroup Tony Frisch, and also called on international organizations to visit the detained person to find out the reasons, circumstances of the detention and to know the place where the citizen is currently being held in custody,” Morozova said.
