The procedure of entry into the DPR territory from Ukraine and vice versa was explained during the briefing in Donetsk on July 8, a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports.
Press officer of the DPR Ministry of State Security Mikhail Popov noted that on July 7 the Ukrainian side let pass 49 people to the Republic in violation of the agreements with the Donetsk People’s Republic on the passage of citizens to the Republic based on the lists previously agreed.
“The Ukrainian side has once again disregarded the agreements and committed a set-up for the sake of its political goals. Several dozens of people, including small children, were left in the gray zone under the scorching sun. That might have caused a situation presenting a risk of irreparable harm to the people,” Mikhail Popov told.
For her part, DPR Health Minister Olga Dolgoshapko told about the procedure of observation that people who have arrived from Ukraine must undergo.
“All people who go to us from the territory of Ukraine are brought for observation in our hospitals. They get an in-patient bed, free medical examination, treatment and medical supervision, if necessary.
The epidemiological situation in Ukraine is very complicated and challenging. We all know from the mass media and open sources that the second spree of the coronavirus infection is going on in Ukraine now. Newcomers from Ukraine have already been examined by doctors, all have been tested for COVID-19, their observation is ongoing. All people get necessary medical care free of charge with the involvement of various experts: cardiologists, therapists, endocrinologists and others. If people are tested for COVID-19 twice negative, they will be discharged home for self-isolation for 14 days,” Olga Dolgoshapko explained.
Deputy Chief of the MGB’s Border Guard Service Alexander Goncharov stressed that according to the Decree of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic On the Introduction of the Advanced Readiness Regime, citizens who have a residence registration in the DPR are allowed to enter the territory of the Republic across the contact line on the days approved by the Inter-Agency Headquarters for the Prevention of Importation and Spread of COVID-19 in the DPR. The lists are drawn up by the headquarters, the Border Guard Service grants passage based on them.
DPR Commissioner for Human Rights Darya Morozova stressed that only those citizens who have been granted a permit by the Inter-Agency Headquarters can enter the DPR territory.
She also urged citizens not to cross the line of contact unless they got this permit from the Inter-Agency HQ.
