The DPR People’s Militia has ascertained the identity of the dead commando who was handed over yesterday to the Ukrainian side. He was Sean Fuller, a US mercenary, nom-de-guerre “Texas”, who used to fight in Iraq, was known as a demolitionist, spokesman for the DPR PMD Colonel Eduard Basurin told more about it during the briefing in Donetsk on July 16.
“According to available information, Sean Fuller supported the far-right wing and actively cooperated with Ukrainian nationalists. There were Nazi symbols on some of his clothes.
In order to conceal the true motives for the commando raid, the Ukrainian military and political leadership is trying to falsify the facts by claiming it was a medical officer who died.
In order to find out the true causes of what happened, our experts conducted an additional check-up at the place where the sabotage group was blown up, and found the body of another commando. According to the examination of the body, the death was due to a mine explosion, as evidenced by the fragmentation wounds. The outfit he was wearing was examined, note that the Ukrainian version, which tells that the victim was a medical officer, does not stand up to any criticism. The victim’s outfit is characteristic of special units and sabotage-reconnaissance groups and indicates the enemy’s intention to carry out a commando raid with the involvement of foreign mercenaries.
The victim had an Estonian passport in the name of Mikola Ilin,” Eduard Basurin said.
The colonel also noted that the found belongings and weapons are high quality and expensive, made by NATO countries, used by special operations forces units and are intended for day and night use.
“This outfit is characteristic of reconnaissance units of the joint forces operation. It is worth recalling that officers of the SBU special force Alpha who attempted to carry out a sabotage attack in the Republic territory in December 2019 and were neutralized had similar outfit, which directly indicates that the dead soldier was involved with sabotage-reconnaissance units,” Eduard Basurin concluded.
