На главной площади столицы Республики прошел торжественный митинг, посвященный Дню Государственного флага ДНР. Это один из главных праздников нашего государства. Как и герб, флаг является отличительным символом страны, выражает особенности исторического развития, стремление к свободе и веру в победу. Об этом сегодня, 19 октября, сообщает корреспондент официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики.

«Я помню, как появился этот флаг. Под этим флагом наши бойцы шли на смерть и побеждали врага. Под этим флагом мы достигали побед. Это наш символ свободы. Глава ДНР Александр Захарченко отдал жизнь за этот флаг. И я призываю вас сохранить верность этому флагу, который приведет нас к победе. С Днем флага, Республика!», — сказал врио Главы ДНР Денис Пушилин.

«Когда мы встали на защиту нашей Родины, мы защищали не только жизнь и достоинство наших людей. Мы защищали наше знамя. Оно с гордостью реяло над Саур-Могилой, его водружали над Дебальцево и Углегорском, Шахтерском и Снежным. Этот флаг навевал ужас на наших врагов. Флаг государства — это символ независимости, и мы должны гордиться этим флагом», — призвал присутствующих заместитель командующего Оперативным командованием полковник Эдуард Басурин.

«Столица Республики, Город-герой Донецк, вместе со всеми отмечает День Государственного флага. Под этим флагом мы отстаиваем свою свободу и независимость, идеалы Русского мира. Мы сделали свой выбор. И те выборы, которые нам предстоят, докажут всем, что мы — состоявшееся демократическое государство», — отметил и.о. главы администрации Донецка Алексей Кулемзин.

Минутой молчания почтили присутствующие память невинных жертв трагедии в Керчи (Республика Крым) 17 октября 2018 года.

Под звуки Государственного гимна огромное трехцветное черно-сине-красное полотнище Государственного флага ДНР было поднято над площадью Ленина. Размер полотнища составил 18 на 36 метров.

“I remember how this flag appeared. Under this flag, our fighters went to death and defeated the enemy. Under this flag, we won the victories. This is our symbol of freedom. Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko gave his life for this flag. And I urge you to remain faithful to this flag, which will lead us to victory. Happy Flag Day, the Republic!” interim Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said.

“When we came to the defense of our Motherland, we defended not only the lives and dignity of our people. We defended our banner. It proudly flew over Saur-Mogila, it was hoisted over Debaltsevo and Uglegorsk, Shakhtersk and Snezhnoye. This flag terrified our enemies. The flag of the state is a symbol of its independence, and we should be proud of this flag,” Deputy Commander of the Operational Command, Colonel Eduard Basurin, encouraged those present.

“The capital of the Republic, the Hero City of Donetsk, together with everyone celebrates National Flag Day. Under this flag, we defend our freedom and independence, the ideals of the Russian world. We have made our choice. And the elections that we are looking forward will prove to everyone that we are a successful democratic state,” acting Mayor of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin noted.

The audience observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of the innocent victims of the tragedy in Kerch (Republic of Crimea) on October 17th, 2018.

To the sound of the National Anthem, a huge tricolor black-blue-red cloth of the DPR National Flag was hoisted over Lenin Square. The size of the cloth made 18 x 36 meters.
