Во время брифинга 3 декабря заместитель командующего Оперативным командованием, полковник Эдуард Басурин отметил, что для реализации планов наступления украинская сторона формирует свои ударные группировки.
«В частности, противник продолжает концентрировать силы на Горловском направлении, куда на усиление 92-й омбр прибыла 25-я отдельная воздушно-десантная бригада. А на усиление 79-й десантной бригады, дислоцированной на Мариупольском направлении, прибыл батальон 80-й отдельной десантно-штурмовой бригады.
Все эти факты говорят о создании украинскими главарями именно наступательной группировки.
Кроме того, командованием 79-й десантной бригады для восполнения некомплекта личного состава проводятся мероприятия по отбору боевиков из 199-го учебного центра ДШВ в Житомире. По нашим данным, в ООС будет направлено более 150 выпускников этого центра. Сразу хотелось бы разочаровать молодое пополнение о перспективах их участия в наступательных действиях под Мариуполем. Большинство из вас закончит свою жизнь в первые минуты наступления. Все навыки, полученные в Житомирском учебном центре, вам не пригодятся, так как командование намерено использовать 79-ю десантно-штурмовую бригаду не как «элитное» подразделение ДШВ, а как обычную пехоту, задача которой — преодолеть оборону противника не умением, а числом», — сообщил Эдуард Басурин.
Также он отметил, что в рамках подготовки украинскими террористами кровавой провокации на Мариупольском направлении разведка ДНР фиксирует прибытие заранее съемочных групп крупных западных телеканалов.

In addition, the command of the 79th airborne brigade to fill the shortage of personnel,is carrying out measures for the selection of militants from the 199th Ukrainian Air Assault Forces training center in Zhitomir. According to our data, more than 150 graduates of this center will be sent to the Joint Forces Operation. At once I would like to disappoint the young recruits about the prospects for their participation in offensive operations near Mariupol. Most of you will end your life in the first minutes of the offensive. All the skills acquired in the Zhitomir training center will not be useful to you, since the command intends to use the 79th airborne assault brigade not as an “elite” unit of theUkrainian Air Assault Forces, but as ordinary infantry, whose task is to overcome the adversary’s defenses not by skill but by number,” Eduard Basurin reported.
He also noted that as part of the preparation by the Ukrainian terrorists of a bloody provocation in the Mariupol direction, the DPR intelligence spotted the arrival of filming crews of major Western TV channels in advance.
