Приближается четвертая годовщина Углегорско-Дебальцевской наступательной операции, значимой не только для Вооруженных сил, но и для Республики в целом. В преддверии этой даты с корреспондентами официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики встретился депутат Народного Совета ДНР, полковник Александр Куренков, непосредственный участник тех событий. В своем интервью он подчеркнул значимость войсковой операции, подвел военно-политические итоги освобождения Углегорска и Дебальцево.
«Углегорско-Дебальцевская – одна из главных операций наших вооруженных сил. По масштабам, по привлечению сил и средств. Нам были поставлены четкие цели и задачи: отбросить войска противника от Горловки, освободить город Углегорск и стратегический железнодорожный узел Дебальцево таким образом, чтобы соединиться с Народной милицией Луганской Народной Республики и связать обе республики железнодорожным и другим сообщением, выровнять линию фронта. И мы эти задачи полностью выполнили», — сказал Александр Куренков.
Кроме того, полковник Куренков описал тяжелое поражение украинских войск, их моральный облик, а также подвел итоги сражения. «Главный итог Дебальцевской операции — это то, что мы освободили свою территорию, то, что мы освободили своих людей. Сейчас, по прошествии времени, в Углегорске люди говорят: «Мы пережили настоящий ад!» — добавил Александр Куренков.
The fourth anniversary of the Uglegorsk-Debaltsevo offensive operation, which was important not only to the Armed Forces, but also to the Republic in general, is coming. On the eve of this date, deputy of the DPR People’s Council, Colonel Alexander Kurenkov, an actual veteran of those events, met with correspondents of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic. During the interview, he stressed the significance of the combat operation, summed up the military and political results of the liberation of Uglegorsk and Debaltsevo.
“Uglegorsk-Debaltsevo operation was one of the main operations of our armed forces. In terms of scale, involved forces and means. We were assigned clear goals and objectives: to drive back the enemy troops from Gorlovka, liberate the town of Uglegorsk and the strategic railway junction of Debaltsevo in such a way as to tie-in with the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic and join both republics together with railway and other links, to align the front line. And we had fully accomplished these objectives,” Alexander Kurenkov said.
In addition, Colonel Kurenkov described the heavy defeat of the Ukrainian troops, their morale condition, and also summed up the outcome of the battle. “The main outcome of the Debaltsevo operation was the fact that we liberated our territory, we liberated our people. Now, as time has gone on, in Uglegorsk they say ‘We have experienced a real hell!’” Alexander Kurenkov added.
