В пятницу, 19 июля, состоялась торжественная церемония награждения военнослужащих 5-го отдельного отряда Народной милиции ДНР «Оплот» имени Александра Захарченко. Государственные награды личному составу вручил Глава Донецкой Народной Республики, Верховный главнокомандующий Денис Пушилин.

«Сегодня перед боевыми подразделениями Донецкой Народной Республики стоит задача повышенной сложности. Со стороны Украины звучат заявления, что они готовы к миру, готовы к переговорам, а на линии соприкосновения мы видим совершенно другую ситуацию. Увы, продолжаются обстрелы городов и сел, идет разрушение инфраструктуры, и, что самое печальное, получают ранения и погибают как военнослужащие, так и мирные жители», – отметил Денис Пушилин.

Глава Республики поблагодарил личный состав подразделения за мужество и стойкость, проявленные при выполнении ответственных и сложных боевых задач.

«Мы прекрасно с вами знаем, что не имеем права отступить, не имеем права свернуть с пути, на который мы с вами встали в 2014 году», – добавил Денис Пушилин.

За отличия, проявленные в боевых действиях при защите Донецкой Народной Республики, личное мужество и героизм к государственной награде «Георгиевский крест» I степени посмертно представлен военнослужащий отряда, а знаком отличия «Георгиевский крест» IV степени награждены девятеро бойцов, один из них – также посмертно.

Кроме того, 20 военнослужащих были отмечены почетными грамотами и благодарностями Главы ДНР.

«Я рад сегодня вручать государственные награды бойцам вашего подразделения, носящего имя первого Главы Республики. Героя ДНР Александра Владимировича Захарченко. Хочу от себя лично и от имени всех граждан Донецкой Народной Республики поблагодарить вас за то, что вы делаете. Уверен, победа будет за нами!» – обратился к военнослужащим Денис Пушилин.

После церемонии награждения, отвечая на вопрос журналистов, чем вызвано постоянное внимание главы государства к военным, Денис Пушилин подчеркнул, что считает своим долгом лично поблагодарить военнослужащих Республики за их геройские поступки на передовой.

«Сейчас на линии соприкосновения ситуация остается достаточно напряженной, и наши подразделения несут боевую вахту и выполняют свой долг, при этом совершая геройские поступки. На слуху долгий период времени были прославленные батальоны, при этом хотел бы отметить, что все подразделения, находящиеся на линии соприкосновения, достойны наград и уважения. Они также совершают мужественные поступки, защищая интересы граждан Донецкой Народной Республики. Потому считаю своим личным долгом поблагодарить бойцов за службу и вручить государственные награды. Тем более эти награды могут быть символичными не только для самих военнослужащих, но и для будущих поколений, потому что у них будет возможность гордиться своими отцами и дедами, как и мы гордимся орденами и наградами наших дедов и прадедов», – сказал Денис Пушилин.

A solemn ceremony of awarding the military personnel of the 5th DPR People’s Militia Detachment Oplot named after Alexander Zakharchenko took place on Friday of July 19th. Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Denis Pushilin awarded state decorations to the military.

“Today, combat units of the Donetsk People’s Republic face a task of higher complexity. There are statements heard from Ukraine that they are ready for peace, ready for negotiations, but we see a completely different situation at the contact line. Alas, towns and villages are still shelled, infrastructure is being destroyed, and the saddest thing is that both the military and peaceful civilians get wounded and killed,” Denis Pushilin stressed.

The Head of the Republic thanked the personnel of the unit for the courage and resilience shown during the execution of responsible and hard combat objectives.

“We know perfectly well that we have no right to retreat, we have no right to deviate from the path that we embarked on in 2014,” Denis Pushilin added.

For the merits shown during combat operations for the defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic, their personal courage and heroism, a soldier of the detachment was posthumously awarded a St. George Cross state decoration of the 1st class; nine fighters were awarded St. George Cross decorations of the 4th class, one of them also posthumously.

In addition, 20 servicemen were awarded certificates of honor and acknowledgement by the Head of the DPR.

“I am happy today to award state decorations to the fighters of your unit, which bears the name of the first-ever Head of the Republic, Hero of the DPR Alexander V. Zakharchenko. On my own behalf and on behalf of all citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic I want to thank you for what you are doing. I am sure we will be victorious!” Denis Pushilin addressed the military.

After the awards ceremony, answering a question from journalists about the reason for the constant attention of the Head of state to the military, Denis Pushilin emphasized that he considers it his duty to personally thank the military of the Republic for their heroic deeds at the front.

“Right now, at the contact line, the situation remains quite tense, and our units keep the watch and do their duty, accomplishing heroic deeds at the same time. Famous battalions have been in the public eye for a long period; at the same time, I would like to note that all the units stationed at the line of contact are worthy of awards and respect. They also perform courageous acts, protecting the interests of the citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Therefore, I consider it my personal duty to thank the fighters for their service and award them with state decorations. Moreover, these awards can be symbolic not only to the servicemen themselves, but also to future generations, because they will have the opportunity to be proud of their fathers and grandfathers, just as we are proud of the orders and decorations of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers,” Denis Pushilin said.
