Сегодня, 19 августа, в Кировском районе Макеевки прошел митинг-реквием и открытие памятного знака «Памяти погибших макеевчан, жертв вооруженной агрессии Украины 2014 года…». Об этом сообщает пресс-служба ОД «ДР».
Около 500 жителей Макеевки пришли на митинг почтить память погибших земляков. В мероприятии приняли участие руководитель Центрального исполкома ОД «Донецкая Республика» Алексей Муратов, глава администрации города, секретарь местного отделения ОД «ДР» Сергей Голощапов, главы администраций районов Макеевки, депутаты Народного Совета ДНР.
Честь открыть памятный знак, установленный в сквере 9-й Пятилетки в районе железнодорожного вокзала Макеевки, была предоставлена Алексею Муратову и Сергею Голощапову.
«Пять лет назад Макеевка попала под многочисленные обстрелы украинских боевиков. Тихий и безопасный город стал таким же опасным, как и другие города Донецкой Народной Республики. Тогда власти Киева очень хотели захватить Донецк до 24 августа, чтобы провести на площади Ленина свой «парад победы» ко «Дню незалежности». Поэтому Макеевка, стоящая на пути в Донецк, попала под массированный огонь ВСУ. Киевская власть пытается скрыть преступления кровавого режима, всячески пытается уйти от мирного переговорного процесса. Но, несмотря ни на что, я уверен — мы добьемся мира в Донбассе. Здесь жили и живут герои, люди с несгибаемым характером, которые никогда не склоняли голову перед врагом и не сделают этого никогда», — заявил на митинге Алексей Муратов.
В свою очередь глава администрации Макеевки отметил: только фашисты могли устроить обстрел, когда в православных храмах шли службы в честь праздника Спаса, а люди готовились к торжеству: «Мы всегда будем помнить, какою ценою оплачен этот трагический день, и никакие перемены не смогут стереть из памяти эту скорбную дату в истории Макеевки и Донецкой Народной Республики. Светлая и вечная память погибшим, они на века останутся в наших сердцах», — сказал Сергей Голощапов.
От лица парламентариев к присутствующим обратился депутат Народного Совета, руководитель фракции «Донецкая Республика» Валерий Скороходов: «Наш долг — передать из поколения в поколение эту трагическую и историческую дату, потому что события сегодняшних дней доказали: только патриоты могут защитить свой родной край от врага», — отметил он.
Напомним, что 19 августа 2014 года в результате массированных обстрелов погибли пять макеевчан. Обстрелу подверглись здания детских садов №№ 119 и 122, Центральной поликлиники и Детского клинического центра, библиотеки имени Беженовой, станции юных натуралистов, общеобразовательной школы № 15, были повреждены здания Ясиновского коксохимического завода. Были обстреляны жилые дома Кировского и Центрально-Городского районов — 47 домов в квартале Северный, микрорайоне Строитель, посёлке ЯКХЗ, 25 домов в кварталах Железнодорожный и Гвардейский.
A requiem rally and the opening of a memorial “In the Memory of Dead Residents of Makeyevka, Victims of the Armed Aggression of Ukraine in 2014…” took place today, on August 19th, in Kirovsky district of Makeyevka. This is reported by the press service of Donetsk Republic Public Movement.
About 500 residents of Makeyevka came to the rally to honor the memory of their fallen compatriots. The event was attended by chief of the Central Executive Committee of Donetsk Republic Public Movement Aleksey Muratov; mayor of the city, secretary of Donetsk Republic Public Movement’s local branch Sergey Goloschapov, the heads of the administrations of Makeyevka districts, deputies of the DPR People’s Council.
The honor to open the memorial installed in Devyataya Pyatiletka Square near the Makeyevka railway station was granted to Aleksey Muratov and Sergey Goloschapov.
“Five years ago Makeyevka came under numerous attacks by Ukrainian militants. The quiet and safe city had become as dangerous as other cities of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Then the Kiev authorities really wanted to seize Donetsk before August 24th in order to hold their “victory parade” by the Ukrainian “Independence Day” in Lenin Square. Therefore, Makeyevka, standing on the way to Donetsk, came under massive AFU fire. The Kiev authorities are trying to hide the crimes of the bloody regime, are trying in every possible way to get away from the peace negotiations. But, in spite of everything, I am sure that we will achieve peace in Donbass. Heroes have always lived here, people with an unbending character who never bowed their heads to the enemy and will never do that,” Aleksey Muratov stated at the rally.
In turn, the mayor of Makeyevka noted that only the fascists could do the shelling when worship services were being held in Orthodox churches in honor of the Feast of the Savior, and people were preparing for the celebration, “We will always remember what price this tragic day costed and no changes can erase from the memory this mournful date in the history of Makeyevka and the Donetsk People’s Republic. Let the bright and eternal memory of the victims remain in our hearts for centuries,” Sergey Goloschapov said.
On behalf of the parliamentarians, deputy of the People’s Council, head of the Donetsk Republic faction Valery Skorokhodov addressed those present, “Our duty is to pass the memory of this tragic and historical date from generation to generation, because the modern events have proved that only patriots can protect their homeland from the enemy,” he noted.
Recall that on August 19th, 2014, five residents of Makeyevka were killed as a result of massive shelling. The buildings of kindergartens 119 and 122, Central Polyclinic and Children’s Clinical Center, Bezhenova Library, young naturalists’ station, and general school 15 came under fire, and the buildings of Yasinovataya Coke and Chemical Plant were damaged. Residential buildings of Kirovsky and Central City districts were shelled — 47 houses in Severny neighborhood, Stroitel microdistrict, the village of Yasinovataya Coke and Chemical Plant, 25 houses in Zheleznodorozhny and Gvardeisky districts.
