As part of the fulfilment of the Order of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic On the Implementation of Measures to Restore the Municipal Housing Stock for Subsequent Distribution Among Certain Categories of Persons Affected by Hostilities, 76 apartments were overhauled last year. DPR Minister for Construction Industry, Housing and Public Utilities Sector Sergey Naumets reported today, on February 18.
“In the course of the primary activities as part of the fulfilment of the DPR Head’s Order On the Implementation of Measures to Restore the Municipal Housing Stock for Subsequent Distribution Among Certain Categories of Persons Affected by Hostilities, the city and town administrations selected empty apartments of municipal ownership. More than one hundred selected facilities were examined. After the receipt of financing, repair works were started. At the end of the year the overhaul of 76 apartments of municipal form of ownership was completed with the purpose of their subsequent use in the temporary public housing,” Sergey Naumets told.
According to the Minister, these activities covered ten towns and cities in the Republic. The works planned were fully carried out in Donetsk, Yenakiyevo, Zhdanovka, Khartsyzsk, Ilovaisk, Yasinovataya and Debaltsevo.
Let us recall that the purpose of these activities is to prepare and provide empty municipal apartments on a temporary basis to those citizens who lost their homes because of the war, until its full restoration.
