Today’s meeting in the Ministry of Industry and Trade was devoted to arrangements for making personal protective gear and disinfectants at companies of the Republic, the press service of the ministry reports.
According to Elena Voronina, the chief of the Industry and Trade Ministry’s Department for Consumer Goods and Processing Industry, about 17 800 filter masks can be produced daily by consumer goods companies of the Republic per shift. There are 11 manufacturers of sewing industry (limited liability companies [OOO], sole proprietorships) in the DPR, they have started to produce personal protective gear of gauze or spunbond. Between March 17 to 19, 65,000 pieces of personal protection gear have been made, including 26,606 Rostok respirators.
A number of enterprises are currently engaged in the process of drawing up and obtaining safety and health certificates from the DPR Sanitary and Epidemiological State Service.
“To boost the volume of output at the Filtr factory, the issue of providing personnel for the arrangement of a second shift is being worked over jointly with the Stirol state enterprise. At this stage, the necessary work is ongoing jointly with the Administration of Gorlovka and the City Employment Center to fill vacant jobs openings at the company,” chief of the Industry and Trade Ministry’s Office for Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry Victoria Zhelobenko noted.
She also gave a detailed description of the resources of each specialized company capable of making personal protective gear and disinfectants.

The Interdepartmental Operational Headquarters for preventing the importation and spread of the new coronavirus infection has been operating in the Republic.
