Over the past day, the armed formations of Ukraine opened fire six times on Republic populated localities, spokesman for the DPR PMD Oleg Nikitin reported at the briefing in Donetsk on May 5.

“From the Gorlovka front, militants of the 54th brigade armed with 120mm mortars shelled Verkhnetoretskoye. A power line was damaged and Krasny Partizan and Verkhnetoretskoye were left without electricity.

From the Donetsk front, the 28th brigade attacked Staromikhaylovka and Aleksandrovka with 120mm mortars, IFVs, various rocket launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.

Four civilians were wounded, including three children, during the shelling of Aleksandrovka, two houses at 366 and 368A Gorkogo Street are damaged.

The AFU opened fire on Staromikhaylovka with 120mm mortars and IFVs this morning, two buildings at 24 Zhukovskogo Street and 32 Bakinskikh Komissarov Street are damaged,” Oleg Nikitin said.

He also noted that additional information on civilian casualties and the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure was being specified.

Materials on the cases of firing were sent to representatives of international organizations based in the Republic, as well as the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office for inclusion in criminal cases against brigade commanders Kaschenko and Marchenko.
