Today, representatives of Kiev to the political group tried to substitute the special status of Donbass and its constitutional entrenchment for the concept of decentralization. The DPR Foreign Ministry considers this approach of the Ukrainian side to be unacceptable.
“Protection of lives and reestablishment of peace and tranquility in the Donbass land is the primary goal of the Minsk process, and the Ukrainian side should be aware that only the special status of Donbass, when it is properly enshrined constitutionally, is the only way to the long-term peaceful settlement of the conflict,” the official statement of the ministry reads.
