On October 26th, radically-minded militants, under the pretext of filming a propagandistic video, brought a bus with children accompanied by Ukrainian media to the line of combat contact in the area of the Avdeyevka industrial zone. Official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Rinat Aigistov reported details on October 28th.
“In the hope of provoking return fire from our defenders, under cover of fog, the 92nd brigade’s militants launched an attack with grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns on People’s Militia positions in that area. Having failed to provoke return fire, war criminal Kokorev instructed the commander of the 3rd battalion to engage the area where the children and the journalists were at that time. Thanks to the remainder of an officer’s honor of some officers of the Ukrainian armed formations, the criminal plans of the radicals went unmet. Having realized that there were children, the officer forbade the opening of fire at that area. The cynicism of the bloody Ukrainian regime, whose next victims would have been children, is striking,” the DPR PM official representative stated.
