The DPR will be enhancing cooperation with the International Association of Islamic Business, and the introduction of Islamic banking is considered as one of its fields, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said at the International Investment Forum in Donetsk.
“We consider the introduction of Islamic banking capacities and the opening of a bank with their application to finance the environmental, scientific and industrial sectors of the DPR as one of the promising financial instruments meant to develop the economy of the Republic,” Pushilin emphasized.
According to him, mutual understanding on this issue has been found during the negotiations with the International Islamic Business Association. The International Association of Islamic Business, in its turn, declared the intention to provide the Republic with every assistance in the economic development and entrepreneurship.
Earlier, the Head of the Republic raised the possibility for the DPR to become a major industrial centre in the Eurasian market.
The International Investment Forum held in Donetsk is supported by Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin. Representatives of 17 countries, a total of about 250 foreign delegates are attending the Forum as honoured guests and participants.
