Some AFU unit commanders do not support their state leadership’s policy for the peaceful resolution of the conflict and continue to impede the work of OSCE SMM observers with a view to conceal heavy weapons deployed in the territory of social and residential facilities in violation of the Minsk agreements. Vice-Commander of the Operational Command, Colonel Eduard Basurin reported details at a briefing in Donetsk on November 1.

“In order to fight of OSCE monitor’s unmanned aerial vehicles, the invaders continue to use the electronic warfare groups of the 20th separate AFU battalion near Stepanovka, Ocheretino, Avdeyevka, Ukrainsk, Krasnogorovka, Gnutovo, Lebedinskoye, Pavlopol, Bogdanovka, Novognatovka, Nikolayevka, Konstantinovka, Dacha, Blagoveshchenka, Chernenko, Makedonovka, and Granitnoye,” Eduard Basurin said.

Along with that, the colonel noted that the Ukrainian side opens fire on UAVs of the OSCE Mission, forcing its employees to urgently terminate monitoring.

Reconnaissance registers the deployment of one artillery mount, forty-three armoured combat vehicles and seven anti-aircraft missile systems near residential buildings and in the territory of municipal facilities:

  • Semigorye – Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system, ZU-23 anti-aircraft weapon;
  • Vozrozhdeniye – Osa anti-aircraft missile system, towed Msta-B howitzer;
  • Podgornoye – Osa anti-aircraft missile system;
  • Krymskoye – two IFVs-1;
  • Novobakhmutovka – two armored personnel carriers;
  • Novosyolovka – two armored personnel carriers;
  • Slavnoye – two IFVs-1 and an APC;
  • Nikolayevka and Novotroitskoye – two APCs;
  • Bogdanovka – thirteen IFVs and five APCs;
  • Nikolayevka – an IFV-2 and a BRDM;
  • Krasnogorovka – four IFVs and APCs;
  • Starognatovka – an IFV and three armored personnel carriers;
  • Shirokino – MT-LB;
  • Mangush – Gvozdika self-propelled gun;
  • Chernenko and Mariupol – three Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems; Novogrigorovka – an IFV-1;
  • Gnutovo – an APC.
