On October 31st, a citizens meeting took place in the frontline village of Olenovka. According to the press service of the Public Chamber, during the meeting with residents of the village, Chairman of the DPR Public Chamber Alexander Kofman answered questions about housing destroyed by hostilities, solid waste removal and the restoration of water supply in several streets of the village.
The meeting was also attended by Chamber members Sergey Kepin, Stanislav Shaposhnikov, acting head of the Leninsky District Administration of Donetsk Elena Kaptan, and head of the village administration Svetlana Nikitchenko.
“Olenovka is located directly at the delimitation line. Unfortunately, hostilities near the village do not stop. The Ukrainian side, despite negotiations on the withdrawal of forces in some areas, continues its attacks on others, and this, perhaps, is one of the main problems. More than 50 residents came to the meeting, each with their own questions, which can be resolved only through joint efforts,” Alexander Kofman noted.
Following the results of the meeting with the residents of Olenovka, the members of the Public Chamber took on the issues of water supply and irregular removal of solid waste.
