On October 31st, the village of Sadovoye, Shakhtyorsk, hosted the opening of a Hero’s Star memorial plaque to Vladislav Chischevoy, a junior sergeant of the DPR Emergencies Ministry’s Special Risk Rescue Team Legion, the press service of the DPR Head’s Administration reports.

The event was attended by honorary guests, in particular, the head of the Young Republic public organization, DPR People’s Council deputy Kirill Makarov, deputy mayor of Shakhtyorsk Yuri Kasitsky, chairman of the Sadovoye village council Igor Yermolenko and other officials, as well as the parents of Vladislav Chischevoy, who fell in battle.

“The most important thing for now is to preserve the memory of the heroes, who fell for the freedom and independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic. At one time, our parents and grandparents had preserved the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Today, we, the youth, shall preserve the memory of the heroes of our war. May the memory of them lives forever,” Kirill Makarov addressed those present.

The deputy thanked the administration of the town and the district for their assistance in setting up the plaque.

“In 2014, the war claimed the lives of life-loving and steadfast people. Dmitry Karpenko, Sergey Vokum, Alyona Orlenko, Nikolay Dyachenko, Dmitry Kurbanov and, of course, our Star Vladislav Chischevoy will forever be remembered as former pupils of our school,” said Tamara Rezanovich, principal of the school where the hero studied.

Those present observed a minute of silence to honor the soldier’s memory and laid flowers at the memorial plaque.
