Ukrainian nationalists continue to plan provocations intended to disrupt the disengagement of the parties on the forces and assets’ withdrawal sites, Dmitry Astrakhan, an official spokesperson for the DPR People’s Militia Directorate, reported at the November 2 briefing.
“According to the information available, the radicals of the Kharkov branch of the National Corps party are considering ways of staging a provocation in the Joint Forces’ Operation using UAVs. To this end, at the end of October, nationalists specified whether the Azov unit of the National Guard of Ukraine could use UAVs such as Mavik Pro and Phantom, namely their tactical and technical characteristics, performance, capabilities, and application conditions. According to the radicals’ intent, unmanned aerial vehicles will be used to drop ammunition from improvised suspension device on the positions of AFU units intended for withdrawal.
Thus, nationalists pursue two goals. The first one is to intimidate of the AFU personnel and the second one is to accuse the People’s Militia of provocation and disruption of the parties’ disengagement,” Dmitry Astrakhan explained.
