Vladimir Zelensky’s team is doing everything to ensure that the Ukrainian state ceases to exist, head of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement’s Central Executive Committee Aleksey Muratov believes.
“The free sale of land, which is actively promoted by the team of “the people’s servant”, will become the final nail in the coffin of the Ukrainian statehood.

Out of 240 people’s deputies who voted Yes, 227 are from the Servant of the People faction and 13 non-affiliated. After that, Zelensky recorded a cynical video message to his deputies, thanking them for releasing the people of Ukraine from economic slavery. Muratov also reminded that one of the conditions for allocating another international loan to Ukraine is the lifting of the moratorium on the sale of land.
“In accordance with the adopted law, citizens of Ukraine, legal entities registered in Ukraine, territorial communities and the state will be able to claim ownership of agricultural lands. It is assumed that the country’s budget may receive from $700 million to $1.5bn.
At the same time, many opponents of the land sale are seriously in fear that fertile black soil in Ukraine will be bought by producers of genetically modified products, such as the long-rumored American company Monsanto, known for its barbaric conduct of agribusiness. In Ukraine, it has been successfully operating since 1991, and if the moratorium on the sale of land is lifted, this will enable it to actively tap into the market and select the most attractive plots for itself.
All told, as the darkest forecasts say, in the near future large foreign corporations will drive farmers out of the market and buy their land at rock-bottom price. The result is that Ukraine will get quite a large one-off payment. Then there will be no more income from the land.
