In the disengagement area No. 3 Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye, sapper units of the DPR Emergencies Ministry are surveying and demining the territory near the village of Petrovskoye, Starobeshevsky District, the Ministry’s press service reports.

Six officers of the DPR Emergencies Ministry and two units of equipment are involved in the work. According to preliminary data, the area to be demined makes 3 hectares. This area is being reconnoitered in order to obtain information about the nature and scope of work, demining of the territory and marking of hard-to-reach explosive zones. In accordance with the implementation roadmap, the mine clearance will last until November 19.
It is worth noting that the demining of the area near Petrovskoe has begun based on the agreements reached by the Minsk Contact Group on the resumption of the parties’ obligations to implement the Framework Decision on the withdrawal of forces and equipment and in accordance with the implementation roadmap. According to the agreements, only the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and representatives of the Donetsk People’s Republic to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) and to the negotiating process can stay in the territory under survey.
