DPR People’s Militia keeps detecting nationalist units’ arrival to the contact line

The DPR People’s Militia continues to note the enhancement of Ukrainian radicals’ activities in the areas of forces and hardware disengagement. In addition to conducting terrorist acts against the AFU personnel and provocative shelling of employees of the Ministry of Emergencies, who are carrying out mine clearance in the Petrovskoye area, the indoctrination of both the population and the military is also in focus, official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Oleg Nikitin reported at the daily briefing today, on November 17.

He also stressed that the Ukrainian authorities use distorted data regarding the subjects most sensitive for the Ukrainian society. Namely, those are the preparation and conduct of negotiations in the Normandy Format, the approval of the Steinmeier formula by the Ukrainian party, the withdrawal of troops in the Joint Forces Operation area and the abolition of social benefits for combatants.

“For this purpose, visual anti-government agitation (leaflets) is widely used in the units’ deployment areas. The main subject is the revelation of “V. Zelensky’s having betrayed the Ukrainian people” with an appeal to Ukrainian servicemen to sabotage the command’s orders to withdraw troops. With a view to prevent situation’s destabilization and unlawful activities against Ukraine, Ukrainian units’ commanders have been instructed to hold awareness-raising activities for personnel to convey the official position of the state leadership on Ukraine’s foreign and domestic policy issues, to explain the implementation mechanism and the expected results of the measures taken to terminate the armed confrontation in Donbass, to remind of the responsibility for the failure to comply with orders of the leadership.

In the meantime, we continue to detect the arrival of nationalist units to the contact line and the commission of crimes against the civilian population. Thus, there was detected the arrival of the 23rd separate brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine to Kirillovka on the Mariupol front. To deploy its headquarters, this brigade’s command chose the only kindergarten building in the area. In addition, after the arrival of the National Guard, there has increased the frequency of cases when local residents would find trip wire grenades and other explosive devices in the areas adjacent to the residential sector. Despite the citizens’ indignation and complaints to the higher command, the situation in the area continues to deteriorate.”
