The Council of the Kievsky district of Donetsk hosted the ceremony of awarding military personnel of the Donetsk People’s Republic and combatants on Friday, November 22. According to the correspondent of the official website, the awards were presented by the Chief of the Military Commissariat of the DPR in the Kievsky, Voroshilovsky and Kalininsky districts of Donetsk, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Voronin.
For the acts of courage and heroism, the excellent completion of the missions set by the DPR Armed Forces Command, one of the military was awarded the Order for Military Valor and three defenders of the Republic were awarded Medals for Distinguished Service.
Along with that, the event’s participants observed a minute of silence in tribute to the DPR defenders who had given their lives.
“Today is a big day for all of us. The heroes of the Donetsk People’s Republic, who stood up to defend the Fatherland and their people in battles with the enemy army, have been awarded for military merits, valiance and courage,” Alexander Voronin said.
