As part of the Patriotic Cinema Day, which is being held in the Republic for the first time, the DPR capital’s KinoKult cinema hosted the screening of the Russian Reactor feature film dedicated to the history of Russia, a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports today, on November 23.
The Russian Reactor is a creative project by the famous Russian public figure, President of the Night Wolves motor club Alexander Zaldostanov (The Surgeon). This film reflects on the main events of the past century: the 1917 revolution, the civil war, the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the restoration of the destroyed country, Soviet leaders and, finally, the perestroika and the collapse of the USSR.
Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin also attended the screening.
“Personally, I have watched this film for the first time. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the premiere. I am impressed. For our part, we should screen more such films. This is our story through the creative prism of a friend of Donbass, The Surgeon, showcasing really very bright moments of our history. This is what we were told, what we studied in history lessons and what we saw with our own eyes —the collapse of the Soviet Union, the “roller” of the 90s. This is indeed what should make people look at history from the perspective of learning from mistakes and prevent them from happening again.
Now, probably, is the stage when Russia is pulling itself together. And we, I never tried to hide and never hide that we identify ourselves as Russians. We are Russians. And all of it is the Russian World! Therefore, it is dear and clear to us. We are joyful that this stage of development has begun and we are taking an active part in it, because we are at the forefront of the Russian World,” the Head of State shared his impressions.
“I am very proud of such an assessment. The Russian Reactor is indeed a symbol of a resurgent, new Russia, possessing enormous power to overcome any difficulties. And I really wanted to screen it in Donetsk, at the forefront of the Russian World, at the forefront of the new Russia, for the people who won the right to be the Russians,” Alexander Zaldostanov said.
As will be recalled, the premiere of the Russian Reactor feature film took place in Donetsk on May 12, 2018.
