Deputy Chairperson of the DPR Public Chamber Ekaterina Martyanova has provided assistance to the St. Ignatius Church, the agency’s press office reports.
To the Sunday School there has been delivered stationery and furniture for children, namely 2 tables and 4 two and a half meters long benches, which are able to fit about 20 children who regularly attend classes.
“At this difficult time, it is very important to maintain the tendency of spiritual education of children,” Ekaterina Martyanova said.
The Church of St. Ignatius Brianchaninov was damaged by shelling conducted by Ukrainian armed formations. The dome of the temple and the roof were completely destroyed as a result of direct shell hits in 2014-2015.
