Chief of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement’s Central Executive Committee Aleksey Muratov commented on Anton Korinevich’s statement about the creation of a strategy and a working group to return the Crimean peninsula.
“One could get used to the fact that Ukrainian politicians live in some kind of a fabled, fictional world, but when Anton Korinevich, the man holding the fake office of representative of the president of Ukraine for the Crimea, with no hint of irony tells about the elaboration of no less fake strategy for the return of the temporarily occupied territories, it resembles no joke but a deep delirium of a seriously ill person.
What concept of transitional justice can we talk about if in 2014 the Crimeans clearly and unambiguously expressed their views on the future fate of the peninsula? Nowadays, the Republic of Crimea is a full-fledged and inseparable entity of the Russian Federation, which stays in the Russian legal environment and does not need anything that Ukraine is trying to force on,” Aleksey Muratov commented.
Also, the chief of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement’s Central Executive Committee noted that despite the fact that Anton Korinevich admits that he does not have complete information about the situation in the peninsula, at the same time he sticks up for the thesis “The Crimea is a part of Ukraine” with the tenacity of a fanatic.
“Then again, has the point of view of the locals ever been of interest to the official Ukrainian government? We have repeatedly seen that for Ukrainian politicians it is much more important to return the territory than the opinion and desires of those who live in it.
Moreover, these very people can prevent the regime from being monetized, and that is why it is necessary to get rid of them as soon as possible: to deport, to put them in jail, to destroy them. Why, if not for this purpose, do they need the transitional justice, reintegration and de-occupation strategies (after all, based on the Ukrainian logic, every Crimean who has a Russian passport is now an occupier)?
We have already had the opportunity to experience the samples of such brotherly love, for example, in the recently published plan for the deportation of the people of Donbass, which was prepared by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Therefore, I know for a fact that either the residents of Crimea or the Republics of Donbass need no reintegration strategies or plans, or transitional justice, no matter how much Ukrainian politicians and their Western handlers try to convince themselves of that. Our historic choice has been made and our future is with Russia!” Aleksey Muratov stated.
