The main issues on the agenda of the economic group remain the payment of salaries to employees of the Voda Donbassa public utilities company, on whose work the water supply of millions of Donbass residents depends, as well as the pension arrears to citizens of the Republic. The Ukrainian side has not yet made acceptable proposals for carrying out the payments, the DPR Foreign Affairs Ministry’s press service reports.
“Today the discussion was devoted to the prompt solution of practical problems existing at the moment in the operation of the Voda Donbassa public utilities company. We do not consider it advisable to tie this process to the end of the international audit, since it will artificially delay the resolution of the pressing issues and may aggravate the situation,” DPR plenipotentiary Natalya Nikonorova said.
Despite some progress in coordinating the legal aspects of financial activities of Voda Donbassa Company, the Ukrainian party still delays the negotiation process on the payment of pensions and social benefits, trying to sidetrack the discussion towards the issues of ownership of Ukrainian legal and private entities.
