Today, on December 6, Donetsk Multidisciplinary Lyceum 1 hosted a charity fair called “Garland of Kindness”, where one could buy handicrafts made by cancer-stricken children from Gusak Emergency and Reconstructive Surgery Institute’s Oncological and Hematological Department, as well as by their parents and lyceum students, the press service of the Donetsk administration reports.
The charity event was attended by mayor of Donetsk Aleksey Kulemzin, deputy mayor of the city Gennady Mishko, representatives of the Time of the Good volunteer organization, teachers and students of the lyceum.
“The handicrafts I have purchased today have become for me a symbol of the invincible will of our children in the struggle for life. I am sure that through joint efforts we will overcome this disease. I wish everyone health and peace” Aleksey Kulemzin commented.
The Time of the Good initiative group of volunteers, jointly with the administration of Donetsk, acted as the organizers of this event.
Similar charity fairs will take place in all districts of the Republic’s capital, and the money raised will be intended to fight the severe illness of children.
