Over the past week, 125 patients from the territory of the Donetsk region, temporarily controlled by Kiev, received medical assistance as part of the Humanitarian Programme for the Reunification of the People of Donbass, the press office of the DPR Healthcare Ministry reports.

Based on the Donetsk Clinical Territorial Medical Association, the Multidisciplinary Hospital for Adults to Receive Highly Specialized Outpatient and Inpatient Care programme continues its work. Under this programme, over the indicated period, specialists of the DCTMA of the DPR Ministry of Health provided medical care to 110 patients. One patient received highly specialized medical care under the Intraocular Lenses Implantation programme.

Within the framework of the Humanitarian Programme in Surgical Treatment of Degenerative Diseases and Spinal Injuries, one patient received highly qualified medical care at the Republican Traumatological Center of the DPR Ministry of Health. In the Center, there were also implanted 4 free-of-charge hip prostheses to residents from the temporarily Ukraine-controlled territory of Donbass.

Specialists of the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital of the DPR Healthcare Ministry provided highly qualified medical care to 6 little patients.

Along with that, for the period from November 28 to December 5, to the Republican Oncology Center named after Professor G.V. Bondar and the Institute of Emergency and Reconstructive Surgery named after V.K. Gusak there were admitted 3 patients, the treatment of which required non-standard therapeutic tactics and performing surgical interventions under the programmes of Chemotherapy for Oncological Diseases of Adults and Chemotherapy for Oncohematological Diseases of Adults and Children.
