Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin recommended that the chiefs of the local municipal administrations give more attention to the work on citizens’ appeals, particularly through direct communication on social networks. He said this today, on December 19, during the meeting with the mayors of city, town and district administrations, a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports.
Thus, it was mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko who initiated such a practice of communication with citizens.
“For the period from January 1 to December 15, 2019 the administration of Gorlovka has received more than 3 thousand appeals from citizens. It should be noted that a large portion of the appeals related to public utility issues, which is about 83%. As a result of their consideration, 37% of the appeals have been addressed.
As a matter of convenience of the citizens, I and all heads of the administration’s divisions actively maintain the social networks pages. It should be noted that the number of followers constantly grows. The number of posts on the official website of the Gorlovka administration has made 7 243, 412 thousand views in total. The social networks have got 7,453 posts and, accordingly, more than 4 million 557 thousand views. We regularly receive appeals from Gorlovka residents on social networks. For example, 879 appeals have been considered in 2019.
The residents of Gorlovka are informed of events in the city regularly and in a timely manner,” Ivan Prikhodko said.
“I want to note that appeals and the work on social networks in general, I think, is welcomed in the modern world. For people it is understandable, familiar, you can see citizens’ judgements about certain actions of a town or district mayor. Accordingly, we need to make use of it. Not only Gorlovka is doing it now. Khartsyzsk is keeping up, as well as Debaltsevo, despite the limited resources. I suggest you all pay attention to this. This is an easy, accessible way to interact with people, with our citizens,” Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin emphasized.
