On Tuesday, December 24, humanitarian aid from citizens of the Russian Federation was transferred to the frontline districts of Donetsk, the correspondent of the DPR official website reports.
Thus, more than 100 children living in the frontline villages of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk received sweets as New Year presents from Russian bloggers Sergei Kolesnikov and Maxim Dyachenko. And pupils of the district’s schools, who used to study at school No. 106, destroyed by shelling during hostilities in 2014, prepared a special holiday program for children with the participation of Father Frost and Snow Maiden.
According to Natalya Konokh, the delegate of the territorial community of the Petrovsky district, about 700 children from four villages of the district located the contact line will receive New Year presents from Russia.
“In the Donetsk People’s Republic, children a given a great deal of attention. Unfortunately, the children of our district live there where their lives are constantly at risk, so any attention and care is especially important for them. The warmth and joy given to children make each person kinder, and everyone’s life brighter,” Natalya Konokh said.
She also noted that the attention of the fraternal Russian people is very important for the citizens of the Republic.
In addition, as part of the event, Sergey Kolesnikov and Maxim Dyachenko presented professional audio equipment for village holidays and cultural events in the village of Alexandrovka.
In turn, Head of the Alexandrovka Village Council Konstantin Chaly noted the timeliness of humanitarian aid received.
“Today, Russian bloggers transferred professional audio equipment that was essential to us. Unfortunately, the equipment we possessed had become unusable and all planned activities could be disrupted. At the moment, thanks to Sergey Kolesnikov and Maxim Dyachenko, all village events and holidays will be held under normal conditions, which is very important for the residents of the village,” Konstantin Chaly commented.
