On Tuesday, December 24, at the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. B. Solovyanenko there was launched the Big Children’s New-Year Show with support of the Head of the DPR, bringing together more than 750 children from all over the country. According to the correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Head of State Denis Pushilin attended the event to personally congratulate the children on the upcoming New Year holidays.

“Dear kids! Here have finally come the long-awaited New Year holidays, a time of miracles, a time of magic, a time for fulfilling wishes!” Denis Pushilin said from the stage.

“I am sure that you have worked diligently for the whole two half-terms, and now it’s time to have a bit of rest during the New Year holidays, to regain your strength. I would like to wish that all wishes come true arounds such a luxurious New Year Tree. And I would like to ask you to still remember that you shouldn’t forget to read interesting books during these New Year holidays, because each of these books carries an important life lesson. Do not forget to play sports, even during the holidays. It is necessary and useful. I wish you a lot of happiness and fun these holidays, let everything work out well! And remember that all good deeds lead to good results. Happy holidays!”

“Today we are launching a New-Year Show for our children from secondary schools,” Mikhail Kushakov, Minister of Education and Science, said.

“Children from all districts of our Republic will participate in this event. A nice program has been prepared for the children, and in the end they will definitely be given presents.”

During the festive event, the children attended a “New Year’s Adventures” performance, based on various fairy tales, prepared by the performers of the opera house.

The Big Children’s New-Year Show supported by the Head of the Republic will be staged until the New Year holidays are over.

The main New Year Tree of the Republic was opened in the afternoon of December 23, in the Lenin Square in Donetsk.
