Vladimir Zelensky’s main campaign promise was to stop the war in Donbass and terminate hostilities. In an exclusive interview with a correspondent of the DPR official website, Head of the Alexandrovka Village Council Konstantin Chaly commented on how the president’s replacement affected the lives of citizens living on the contact line in the frontline areas of the Republic.
“Unfortunately, nothing has changed for residents of Alexandrovka village upon the power transition in Ukraine, the situation has even deteriorated. The shelling continues, and the use weapons of all types and even heavy artillery has been recently resumed. The shelling continues to this day, there is destruction and casualties,” Konstantin Chaly said.
He also noted that the shelling by the AFU didn’t stop even on the eve of the New Year holidays.
According to Konstantin Chaly, none of the agreements signed with the participation of the Ukraine was ever respected by this state.
“For the entire period of hostilities in Donbass, various agreements and a communiqué, and ceasefire agreements have been signed, however, none of them have yet brought any positive results, shelling continues and hostilities won’t stop,” the speaker commented.
In particular, he emphasized that in order to change the situation it is necessary that the President of Ukraine, by his willful decision, give an order to stop shelling and terminate the war in Donbass.
