Five thousand violations of the ceasefire regime by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were registered in 2019. A total of over twenty thousand munitions were fired at the territory of the Republic, including 66 missiles and 6,612 artillery rounds and shells, DPR PMD official representative Rinat Aygistov reported at the briefing in Donetsk on December 27.

“During the year, as a result of the Ukrainian militants’ aggression, a total of 728 residential buildings and infrastructure facilities of the Republic were destroyed and damaged. Vital social facilities, schools and hospitals were purposefully fired on. Five persons were killed by the Ukrainian occupiers and 44 civilians got wounded, including two children,” Rinat Aigistov said.

He also noted that by the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office there had been initiated over 850 criminal proceedings on the facts of these crimes. To the European Court of Human Rights and the International Criminal Court there were sent more than 1,600 files containing evidence of crimes committed by Ukrainian militants against the population of Donbass.
