The improvement of the DPR citizens’ welfare is not just an important task, but a paramount one. The activities of all authorities, public organizations and local councils must be focused on this, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin stated.
“In the light of continuing growth of economic performance, I have instructed the Government of the Donetsk People’s Republic to raise the level of the Republic’s pensions, wages of public sector employees and civil servants to the level of the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Given the preparatory work already begun, the process should be completed by January 1, 2022.
The increase will be carried out in three stages: from January 1, 2021; from July 1, 2021; from January 1, 2022. At each stage, pension payments will be increased by an average of 20%, salaries of public sector employees — by 28%, and those of public officials — by 18%.
I further note that we will do our utmost to raise the salaries of our miners and metallurgists to a comparable level,” Denis Pushilin said.
