Ukraine again has had a scandal connected with the incompetence and greed of Ukrainian politicians. This time, they published on YouTube videos, where prime minister Alexey Goncharuk, deputy chairperson of the National Bank Ekaterina Rozhkova and finance minister Oksana Markarova discuss the not very optimistic state of affairs in the country’s economy and the UAH rate. At the same time, all the participants speak only Russian, not the state language.
According to the published video, the prime minister was most interested in how to convince the Ukrainian president that the growth of the national currency rate is a good thing but not a problem.
Chief of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement’s Central Executive Committee Alexey Muratov commented on the content of the conversation between the representatives of the Ukrainian government.
“The Servants of the People impudently and cynically hoodwink Zelensky. After this publication, it became obvious that Goncharuk had a rather neglectful, disrespectful attitude towards the president, whose ideas about economy he calls “primitive”. And the discussion itself did not look like an attempt to fill Zelensky in on the real situation, but an attempt to create a likely version of the economic situation, which the president could believe.
The most unpleasant fact for the Ukrainians is that the prime minister of Ukraine openly admits that he is a “complete amateur in the economy”, for whom the main thing is not the growth of the state welfare, but the ability to create the illusion of this beautiful picture. Goncharuk actually cannot convincingly explain to Zelensky the situation in the Ukrainian economy and finances at the moment, but is forced to involve his subordinates for this purpose.
Despite the numerous statements from the parliament and the government that Ukraine allegedly has some kind of economic growth, everyone understands that the Ukrainian economy is getting gradually and steadily into the abyss. There are no highly professional economists among Zelensky’s entourage, or honest and responsible specialists with experience of effective management at any serious enterprises in the real sector of economy. Totally unprofessional schemers have come to power, who have robbed and continue to rob the Ukrainian people with all the ensuing consequences for the future of the country,” Alexey Muratov stated.
