Legalization of gambling business in Ukraine will become a time bomb, Alexei Muratov, the Head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, stated.
“Despite the fact that Ukrainian authorities have collapsed the country’s economy, there may still be found a way out of the situation. But this is neither industrial cluster recovery, nor agricultural development, nor the support of small and medium-sized businesses, as many might think.
Deputies from the “Servant of the People” faction submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on legalizing gambling in Ukraine, which was banned for 10 years. And, judging by the fact that the draft was adopted on the first reading by a majority of votes, casinos and gaming halls will open everywhere in the Independent Ukraine soon.
And although the “servants of the people” claim that in this a way to replenish the budget, there is evidently taking place usual redistribution of business, change of curators and the redirection of cash flows. Moreover, such a political decision plunges Ukraine into another criminal swamp.
Today, in addition to the overall crisis in the country, the Ze team is bringing on another global problem, creating conditions for increasing the number of people with gambling addiction. In the country where the majority of the population receive starvation wages, part of the male population have gone through the ATO, taking into account the huge amount of unaccounted weapons, the gambling business legalization will become a time bomb,” Alexei Muratov commented.
